Participate in a Project

Idea: Climate action projects will be hosted on the morning of Saturday, April 20 by different groups and organizations in town. Participants will choose projects to participate in and specify the project site in their registration. 

At 12:30 pm there will be a celebration of accomplishments and a free lunch for all participants hosted at the Redlands Bowl.

Battle the Invaders at Caroline Park!

Project Host: California Native Plant Society  

Location: Caroline Park

Time: 9:00am-12:00pm

Maximum number of people: 20

We will meet at Caroline Park which is a park dedicated to California's native plants.  Participants will learn to recognize the invasive plants that threaten Redlands' natural as well as home landscapes.  Then we will spend a lovely spring morning enjoying the park as we remove invaders. 

Participants will be walking up and down steep hills as well as bending and digging.  Clothes and shoes should be appropriate for gardening. Street parking is available along Poppy Road and Mariposa Drive.  We will meet at the corner of those 2 streets.

Local Farm Tour:  Three Sisters Farm

Learn about the sustainable, organic practices on the farm and see our newest straw bale building. 

Hats and sturdy shoes recommended.
