Through the creative process of hand papermaking, this project will bring an awareness to horticultural invasive grasses and promote the use of native grasses in home gardens. We will also be learning about California's endangered grasslands, all through the creative process of hand papermaking. Free native grass starts of Muhlenbergia Rigens will be available to participants in limited supplies.
Goals:
Awareness around invasive plants and their impact on local ecology, as well as the benefits of working with native plants of the Southern California area.
Climate impact project is addressing:
Loss of biodiversity
Increasing drought/water shortages
Instructions for Participants:
Please bring gloves, and clothes/shoes that can get wet. We will be standing.
Children are welcome.
