A Day of Climate Action in Redlands

A citywide day of action, hope, and community.

On Earth Day, Redlands turns concern into action to help prepare our community for a hotter, more uncertain future. Join neighbors across town for hands-on projects and learning experiences that help slow the warming, build resilience, and strengthen community—then gather in Smiley Park to celebrate with live music, food, family fun, and information tables on local resources.ow).

Who organizes Redlands Earth Day?

A Day of Climate Action in Redlands is being planned by a coalition of locally concerned organizations, which are listed below. The Coalition, spearheaded by ANCA, works in three task forces: Projects/Website, Celebration/Sponsors, and Publicity.

Based on the success of the Inaugural Day of Climate Action in 2023, this has become an annual event to increase local action in preparing for the impacts of climate change and encourage ongoing actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The Earth Day Coalition welcomes new members at any time.

Why a Day of Climate Action?

The first Earth Day in 1970 ignited a movement. Today, with climate impacts accelerating, the need for community action is greater than ever.

In 2024, carbon emissions hit an all-time high.
Heat, drought, and extreme weather are increasing.
Scientists warn we are fast approaching a dangerous global temperature rise.

But we can soften these blows and make meaningful change—starting right where we live. Earth Day in Redlands is our chance to show what community-based climate action looks like.
