Please help volunteers from the Center for Spiritual Living remove some of the trash that has accumulated around Redlands! Participants in this project are being asked to bring gloves and trash grabbers (if you have them), with the Center providing trash bags, then cleaning up trash in one or more visible areas of the City of Redlands to help people see this is a critical part of maintaining local habitat health for everyone. People should have a moderate level of fitness enabling them to walk on uneven terrain, bend and pick up trash, and carry bags of trash to a collection location.
Goals:
The ultimate goal is to transfer as much waste into an on-site dumpster and/or recycling bin, to clean up areas in the city.
Climate impact project is addressing:
Increasing health threats
Loss of biodiversity
Instructions for participants: All participants MUST wear closed-toe shoes and long pants, and be at least 16 years old to participate. We are also asking people to provide their own gloves and a "gripper" tool if they want that. This requires a moderate level of physical fitness as it involves lifting and moving trash over short distances on uneven terrain. Tools and gloves will be provided but please bring your own gloves if you have them! This event is completely free and we appreciate your participation in helping increase habitat health in Redlands!
